A recent chat with one of my clients made me realize again that the digital transformation is not about technology.
Which is a disturbing finding for someone like me who works as a solutions architect for a IT company.
Because the clients don’t have a technology issue. The challenges they are facing today are more of a human nature.
How do we communicate? How do we collaborate? How do we stay connected?
This change of culture and cannot be answered by today’s technology, no matter how amazing it is.
The role of technology is to enable this new ways of working behaviours.
As the nature of the client’s challenges change, so does my role.
It is less about understanding what the technology is capable of and more about understanding the business need and how the technology can work for us.
